Why We Listen

“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear”  - Elf (Infinifilm Edition)http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=contobemov-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B0002F6BRE

Feeling healthy and great all the time can be hard. When our minds and bodies feel good, we want  to stay in that fantastic mind set forever. Unfortunately enough, the world we live in is not  perfect and nor are we.

So is there some sort of cure to feeling bad? Is there some sort of pill that changes your mood?

Yes, there is.

It's called music.

It has been a part of human nature since humanity began, and could quite possibly be one of mankind's greatest creations. So what's so special about it other than being an old tradition? Well nothing really, except well...

It transforms us, it moves us. It changes our moods and our way of life. We listen so that we can hear the music.

Tonight a good deal of caroling shall be heard, from churches to homes. We listen to it because we want to. We want to because it makes us feel better. It makes us feel better because it connects us all, no matter how diverse each and every one of us are. We all feel the same feelings during a song no matter what language we speak. It gives us the ability to reach out to those who previously could not be reached.
So by all means reach out, sing, and enjoy the holidays!

Good Night World,
Sleep Strong.

To Live for a Reason

“For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I believe that every single person in the entire world lives for a reason. We all have a job to do. We are all linked. We are all meant to help each other.

The statement above may seem to you as farfetched, or impossible, which is why you must remember a lesson you learned from your childhood: Sometimes you must believe no matter what the circumstances are.

Look at life with a new perspective and it will be better. I myself, was like you at one point in time and then, then I opened my eyes.Life suddenly looked so much brighter. I had a lot more to live for. I suggest you start this new perspective by taking my suggestions below.

Christmas can be a great and happy holiday. For those of us for which it is, take a second to look at what you have, where you are, and what you have accomplished.

Take it all in and remember to live. Live so that you can ensure many more great days like this one.

Although Christmas can be great, we must not forget those for whom are less fortunate. When times are down, and if money is short, remember: Miracles happen all the time, they are only rare because they are hidden, and only a few seek to look for them.

Whether your Christmas is sad or happy, remember: We are all meant to be here. We are all miracles. We are all equal, rich or poor, bad or good, we are all human.

And finally, whether it's Christmas or the middle of July, remember:  No matter how bad life gets, there are always people and ideas worth living for.

Good Night World,

Sleep Strong.

The Beginning and the End: A Poem

"Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash."
-Leonard Cohen

Since we've begun to fight the winter cold, I've decided to warm you with you a poem. Sometimes when you're feeling down, all you need is a couple words to lift you back up.Yes, it is different from what you are used to, let it soak in and ask yourself what does it mean to you? Refresh, relax, and enjoy...

The Beginning and the End

In total darkness,
a glimpse of light begins to flicker .
And once ablaze,
the lustrous glow shall be forever stronger.

With Strength,
with youth,
oh it shines,
enlightening kin.

 With Love,
with pride,
oh it replenishes,
forgiving sin.

 With wisdom,
with Friendship,
oh it becomes,
never forgotten.

And as brisk as was in the past,
the light no longer sparkles.
For in total darkness,
a new light begins to flicker.

Good night world,
sleep strong.

The Beauty of Perspective

" The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."* - Saint Augustine

My day really began when I enter the office building. At the office, I sit at a desk, and do whatever my boss thinks is necessary for me to do. At lunch time, I buy a sandwich from the vending machine and return to my desk because I don't have a big enough lunch break to leave work.

What do you think when you read that paragraph?

Maybe you're thinking it's too bad that he's got such a short lunch break, I'm lucky I have a longer one. If that was or is the case, then I've just changed how you see the world. I've changed how you see your life. By showing you my morning life, by you seeing more of the world, I've changed your perspective. That is how we see life. That is how we see everything. We only realize the true value of something, when we see what life's like without it.

I'm bringing this up because it is important for all of us to understand humanity as best as possible.

To truly understand humanity we must see life beyond our own horizons. This is why it so important to look at the world not just from our own perspective. If you want to become smart,  if you want to have strong moral, then you have to know that there is more to the world than what just meets our eye.
The world is a beautiful and a unique place. Some parts are corrupt, evil. While other places are happy and wonderful. I meet people every day that have witnessed a part of life that didn't bring out humanities best sides. They are the people, who have lost all hope of bringing change to the world. They give up because their once strong ideas and thoughts, have lost all strength.

We all start the same. We all began life with that beautiful feeling of youth. Some of us are lucky enough and have worked hard enough to witness that feeling our entire lives. While others couldn't make it through. Their ideas got shot down too much for them to handle. They lost hope, they lost faith.

I'm asking you from the bottom of my heart, do not let that happen.

We can avoid that. You can avoid that. All you have to do is look at the world with a wide perspective. Every time, one of your ideas get shot down, think of the ones from the past that made it through. Study humanities unique course. Enjoy life. You're ideas, your thoughts, can all become a reality. You just have to keep on believing. More than that, you have to keep on believing in the world.

Good night world,
sleep strong.

The Beginning

“Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air, but only for one second without hope”
- Anonymous

We all get that magnificent feeling. We all want to make our voice heard. We all want to make a difference in each others lives.  This is where it starts for me. This is where it can also start for you.

Inspiration, motivation, and the ability to connect to each other are beautiful branches that help define the human race. It is important for all of us to make sure our lives are motivated, and that each day we feel at least a bit of inspiration. I hope that in the future, you will find some of that here.

Our world is full of drama and conflict. I leave my home in the morning and look into the deep blue sky and say to myself, how can such a beautiful world, be filled with so many problems? When I return to my home, I turn on my TV and I'm reminded of all the unfortunate events happening around me.

Poverty. Crime. War.

And then in the mist of all the world's downs, I'm reminded of it's ups. I look deeper into the television and I see the beauty of humanity. I see people who care, people who try. It inspires me. My goal is to bring that miraculous feeling of inspiration to this new blog. I hope we can change each other with life's fascinating stories. We've only got one shot at a happy life.
Let's make it good.
I recently saw a good share of inspiration in the alps.

 Good night world.
Sleep strong.
