The Beginning and the End
In total darkness,
a glimpse of light begins to flicker .
And once ablaze,
the lustrous glow shall be forever stronger.
With Strength,
with youth,
oh it shines,
enlightening kin.
With Love,
with pride,
oh it replenishes,
forgiving sin.
With wisdom,
with Friendship,
oh it becomes,
never forgotten.
And as brisk as was in the past,
the light no longer sparkles.
For in total darkness,
a new light begins to flicker.
Good night world,
sleep strong.
